Participating in More Trees Now is voluntary, but not entirely without obligation. We
ask you to observe the conditions below. This way we can guarantee a pleasant
environment and positive communication.
More Trees Now moves disadvantaged seedlings to locations where they can flourish! To do this, we adhere to the following rules.
● As a planter, I have permission to plant at the location in question. As a private individual, I do not plant these back in a (protected) nature reserve.
● I never sell these trees to third parties. The trees and shrubs of More Trees Now are distributed without a profit and are not intended for commercial activities.
● I make sure that the right cutting ends up in the right place, with the help of the Tree Finder!
● I will read and follow the planting instructions that are sent to me.
● I sign up for harvest and collection days and wait patiently for my slot.
● I only transplant with the permission of the land manager.
● I do my best, in consultation with the organisation and site managers, to transplant only healthy trees.
● I only transplant what has little or no chance of survival in its current location.
● I leave the area as beautiful as I found it.
● I do not leave any holes or rubbish behind.
● I work safely and with respect for the area and other volunteers.
● I distribute free trees on a non-profit basis to make the UK greener and more enjoyable.
● I do not distribute invasive exotic species.
● I do not distribute exotics for the countryside, but only to managed areas where exotics already grow; such as gardens and food forests. More information about planting the right cutting in the right place.
● I do not consciously distribute unhealthy trees, but I keep an eye on them with the help of the disease sheet.
● We safely work from home:

● We are transparent and open about the activities in our region.
Employees and volunteers of More Trees Now work together towards a common goal: to (re)plant as many trees as possible. For a successful collaboration, we ask everyone to read this code of conduct and adhere to it.
● Respect people, animals, nature and other peoples property.
● Be kind to one another.
● Everyone has their own story. Appreciate differences.
● Respect others, even if you disagree.
● Be aware of each other and involve each other.
● Follow instructions from employees/site managers.
● Say what you’re going to do and remain honest.
● Does anyone need anything? See if you can help.
● Giving feedback is allowed, but do so with a constructive approach.
● Are you getting feedback? Be open to it, listen well and adjust your behaviour.
● Is there a conflict? First, resolve it together. If that doesn’t work, contact the regional coordinator or the national team.
We do not allow transgressive behaviour. We do not allow verbal and physical aggression, verbal and physical intimidation, discrimination based on origin, religion, gender, orientation, age, lifestyle, sexually transgressive behaviour or comments, and bullying/harassment behaviour (gossiping, exclusion, ignoring, ridiculing).
Is it happening to you? Set your boundaries. Do you see it happening? Speak out!
We store contact information for planting locations, harvest locations and volunteers so that we can connect them this coming winter. We also keep all participants in the campaign informed of our progress.
You can indicate in your Tree Planner profile how you want to stay in touch and be contacted. You can turn this on and off at any time. You can also pause and archive a harvest, hub or planting location. When you archive your planting location, we only store which trees are on your site, for accountability. But you are then no longer visible in the system to others and will not be contacted unless the information is necessary for the health of your trees and your site.

Activities are organised decentrally using the tree planner. As such, all events are public and locally initiated. As a participant in such an activity, I declare that I am insured and participate at my own risk.
Are you a local initiator? Then take a look at the volunteer insurance of your municipality.
Is something broken, or is there something else you would like to contact us about?
Do not hesitate to email info@moretreesnow.eco. We are one movement and want to act humanely and in everyone’s best interests. We trust that we will always find a solution together.
